We are so excited for this years spring lunch, we hope you have all marked your calendars! We are especially excited about our line up of sponsors, starting with our keynote speaker Mr Jason Webb! He fits into that "and some guys, too" category and we are thrilled to have him with us for our spring lunch.
Mr. Jason Webb is an
intellectual property attorney and the founder of Webb IP Law Group. He has a Bachelors of Science degree in
Applied Physics and Computational Modeling from Brigham Young University where
he assisted in experimental laser physics and cancer research.
Mr.
Webb has deep experience in patent, trademark, and copyright law. He has successfully negotiated licensing
agreements and settlement agreements for his clients with Fortune 500
companies. His client’s products and
services are sold nationally and internationally on the internet, through HSN
and QVC, and in big box stores, including The Home Depot and Toys’R’US.
Mr. Webb is a recognized national expert in intellectual property law and has been quoted worldwide in nationally syndicated publications. He is also a civilian partner with the FBI in promoting the protection of critical information systems. He owns several successful businesses besides his law firm, including an import company and is a director of a charitable micro-credit fund.
Here is a what Jason had to say about his firm and what they specialize in:
About 60-80% of the typical exit value of a company is in their intellectual property, so if you ever plan to sell your company, your intellectual property will play primary role in the amount you get. Also, if you work with authors, artists, photographers, designers, etc., then intellectual property is a part of your daily life. Our practice is focused on intellectual property, that is: patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, and etc. We started our firm as a break-off from another larger firm because we saw that there were barriers between lawyers and their clients, barriers that made it difficult for clients to build trust with their attorneys. Transparency and communication are important to us. We like to make the intellectual property process more predictable and easier to understand. It is a complicated world, so that is a great challenge. But, we are up to it and looking forward to building a new kind of intellectual property law firm. Our clients tell us that we are easier to talk to and understand and they refer their friends and family to work with us. We are flattered by that and really enjoy the challenges that intellectual property brings.
We are excited about the unique perspective Jason will bring to our business needs as creative professionals in the wedding industry and hope you will too see the immense value in his sponsorship and contribution so mark those calendars and get ready to register!
I would love to attend. Do you need an rsvp?
