My name is Tasha Mitchell, and I’m the owner of a small wedding cake company called Cake-A-Licious. I specialize in wedding cakes, but I also do all kinds of celebrations cakes from birthdays to anniversaries and from baby showers to groom’s cakes. Wedding cakes are the main focus of my company, however. I also offer cupcakes, which are hugely popular right now. You can do so many fun things with cupcakes! I am a small company, running my business out of a home-based bakery in our basement, which is a full-functioning bakery and cake design studio. I prefer to keep the business small in order to put all of my focus on my clients as well as maintain a good work/family balance.
I truly believe that a cake should taste as good as it looks, so flavors and the taste of the cake are equally as important as the decorating. I offer a wide variety of flavors from the classics of chocolate and vanilla to some that a little more bold and daring like key lime coconut and root beer float. I do both buttercream and fondant cakes. Some people just don’t like fondant, and that’s okay. I make my own homemade fondant, which actually tastes good. Think vanilla marshmallows!
I am located in West Jordan, UT. I currently serve much of the Northern Utah area, including Salt Lake, Ogden, Provo, and Park City areas.
